Otay 8/17

Post by Dannicus »

Had a bit of a rough one at Otay yesterday. Got out as soon as it opened and fished till noon with only 6 dinks to show for it. I tried multiple baits in every part of the water column and just couldn't find any willing participants. I didn't even bother with pictures.

So instead I went home and fired up the smoker and did this. All's well that ends well I guess.

Haha nope. Decided to take a day off. I'll probably be wishing I was fishing before the day is over though.

Maybe the first time I looked at a pic that was not a bass and was very impressed. Yummy!!!!!
At least you got out on water and caught some and know the bass bite will be better next trip for sure.
Thanks for sharing and making my mouth water....ha ha. Tight lines buddy

I was out there the afternoon before. I'd catch a fish or two in one spot, then nothing. I'd move, and then the same thing would happen again. Mostly pound and a halfers, but I did get a 3 1/2 mixed in.
