Otay Yay!
Fished Lower Otay last Wednesday and had a decent day as far as numbers go. Water temps pushing over 79 degrees and pretty stained down the Harvey Arm. Lots of blowups right at the bank and we had most of our success with finesse like weightless Senko and Neko rigs. Decided to throw a jackhammer w/ zako trailer a little deeper and over the grass. Picked up a couple this way before deciding to throw off the other side of the boat, out past the grass and bounce it off the bottom. Was chatting with my buddy and it sat on the bottom for probably 20 seconds before I decided to start back. At first thought I was snagged so jerked really hard and the fight was on.
My buddy laughed that this was the first picture where I didn't make a nice fish look small. I am 6' 8" and 250 lbs. and can make a 4 lbr look like a 2.
7 lbs. 8 oz. 23"
