I've been off the water for almost 2 weeks dealing with life stuff and fishing withdrawals. So thanks a whole lot for putting your successes right in my face.

Monday I fished all morning and only managed a couple of little clones buuuut...I was great chatting with Mcfish on the lake. I believe he said he did about the same as me lol.

Today (Tuesday) was a different story with 11 fish total. Most were clones with the best coming in at 3.45 lbs. The water ...

I had another fun day there yesterday (2/28) numbers-wise anyway. Caught maybe a dozen fat clones.

A shore angler tied into his PB and asked me if I had a scale, so I kicked over to the bank and showed him how to use it. His bass came in at 3.4 and he was positively giddy about it! I was very happy ...

I didn't stay too long after you left brother, just long enough to pick up a couple more along some rocks with a jig in about 10 feet. You were killing it out there! Great fun and good conversation with a great guy CorsoEnthusiast .

With rain in the forecast the next 3 days, I decided to get a little fishing in this morning. Was trying to make a decision to fish mostly

Fun jig bite at Otay today. I finished the morning with 11 fish total. Most were in the mid 2 lb range, with the best being a 3.2. I saw a bunch of males up on beds, but only one big female, and she wanted nothing to do with me.

All in all though it was a ton of fun!

Back to back days. Went to Otay again because we are camped quite close.

A little slower today, only got 9, but the quality was a bit better.

Looks like a beautiful day. A few fish are just a bonus.

After having fished both days last weekend, I thought I might take Monday off, but with rain in the forecast this week I thought what the heck right? Well, I just narrowly avoided the skunk at Murray. I only landed one, but she was a little football.

It's been a feast or famine start of the year ...

I think the fluctuating temps have a lot to do with it. They were moving up shallow when the water was getting pretty warm, then the weather turned and the water temps cooled.

I'm gonna start yelling "get the net" every time my jig gets hung on rocks. Nevermind that I am out fishing solo on my float tube. I just think it'll be funny, some old guy floundering around, fins in the air, yelling GET THE NET to no one in particular.
