El Cap 3/28 And

Post by Dfishin »

I was up early ready to go until I looked outside and it was raining. Well I sat down drinking my coffee as I was not in the mood to get wet today. The weather cleared up a bit around 7 so off I went. I headed to the spot that did me well last time, but it was not it today. I landed 2 there and moved on. I had seen some bed fish at the launch so I figured I might hunt bedders. Then I found a rock that had fish all over it and around it, it was on. They wanted to feed. I landed 24 16.24 best 5 biggest 4 1/2 and 1 bonus fish. BFS fish just keep getting bigger. As I was fighting this Kitty I was thinking this is so much fun. I watch other boats hook a fish then most ski the fish in.

If you mean tube, I have a pontoon now. Will use it at Barrett. The rock is located, you launch head straight out look right for the squirrel sitting on the rock and it is in the water 14 ft deep. It was not a big rock so go slow or you will miss it.

Exactly why I looooove BFS. 4 of 5 of my rods are legitimately finesse rods with the 5th being the heaviest, and it is a medium/fast. BFS has spoiled me to the point that anything else feels like a broomstick. Besides at this point I've caught numerous fish over 5 and it's about the most fun I've had bass fishing lol.

But no waterskiing fish back to the boat anymore and I am pretty cognizant of my drag these days.

Solid fish! When you say that the fish were near rock, was it one of the huge boulders? Or was it like the chunk rock?
