Trinity Lake
Took a 2,500 mile road trip pulling the trailer to the Castcade Mountains and everywhere in-between. Had a chance to Bass fish Trinity Lake and Clear Lake. We pumped up the Sea Eagle and got out for a few hours.
My Son and I had 3.5 hours of clone fishing on Smallies and Spots.
Here are a few pics from the day. They were all small clones but fun on topwater (Sammy) and strolling ball jigs with small flukes/ swimbaits on them. Oh yeah a couple on Dropshot. Robo MM.
The lake is beautiful and there was only one wakeboard boat that we saw for 15 min running a wake surfer and one fishing boat. Wish we would have had more time to fish and find a pattern that produced bigger fish. Our fish came in 5 to 15 feet. I think the big ones are deeper. No electronics.

Re: Trinity Lake
Trinity is Magic. Last year I landed a 4 pound Largemouth, a 4 pound Smallmouth and a 6 pound Brown Trout in three casts. Amazing fishery. The locals troll Bombers and Hellbenders on 15 pound test thru the stumps of sunken Trees 12- 20 feet deep. All day, back and forth. Giant Smallmouth. They all have pictures to show.

Epic trip brother! Having met both you and your son (both awesome people) it does my heart good to see you out there enjoying your life. It gives me a good idea for a quick getaway with my family too!KillinTime wrote: Thu Oct 09, 2025 3:56 pm Took a 2,500 mile road trip pulling the trailer to the Castcade Mountains and everywhere in-between. I know they are in there. Wish I would have had more than a few hours to figure out a better area or pattern.Bendo wrote: Thu Oct 09, 2025 8:32 pm Trinity is Magic. If you are trolling cranks, you better have a good plug knocker. Those stumps are everywhere and nasty. Great cover though.

Re: Trinity Lake
We stayed at the Forestry Campground and it was water and electricity for a very reasonable price.Dannicus wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 7:24 amEpic trip brother! If I was on just a fish adventure, I would think 3 to 4 days and you would have the place dialed in.
