Otay 2/9

Post by Shawn5 »

Went to Otay Sunday and it was the first time on the water since November 1st so I was just excited to be out on the water as far as the fishing it was a little slow for me only managed one to hand and lost a few saw alot of followers on the scope with reaction baits but no one wanted to commit around noon the ranger said they were shutting down the lake early for a homicide investigation I did try to find more info on that unfortunate event but it seems everything is being kept quite about it,other than that it was definitely great to get out and harass the fish a little and can't wait to get back out

Hey that old adage still holds true; the worst day of fishing is better than the best day working.

Unless you are a pro fisherman, then there's a cross over. :)

Horrible situation, but I bet the catfish were in that area due to the body condition in that article. Was that tasteless?

Which is the very reason I never pursued that path....I like my fishing to be the opposite of work lol.

I was just thinking the catfishing in that area would have been fantastic with all the decomposing meat. There are some big kitties in there!
