It's called a Tsurinoya Flicker. It's 7cm long and weighs 8.4 grams. Tsurinoya is a Chinese company and the thing costs $4.26 on Aliexpress. Quite a difference from the Lucky Craft BFS baits I usually buy. It works and looks amazing, but the hooks were pretty iffy so I upgraded them.
It's a tiny bait but it has a tungsten tail weight and rattle. I can easily walk it. But the real magic happens on a fast jerky retrieve. It darts erratically on and just below the surface, (a lot like a Mega bass Karashi) but this one even jumps out of the water at times. It was honestly hard to tell the difference between it and the fleeing bait the bass were chasing.
I finally lost the thing after a couple of hours of amazing topwater action. A big one smashed it....peeled drag for a few seconds and then parted my light leader. I probably should have re-tied but oh well! I've already ordered a replacement and a couple other tiny Tsurinoya baits to try. I mean the prices are low enough that I won't be too butt-hurt if there are some duds I suppose?
