Took my boy, who has now outgrown me, on our annual Sierras trip. Instead of the usual Tuttle Creek/Mt. Whitney camp out, decided to head farther north to Big Pine and Lower Sageflat campground to be in the trees, and it did not disappoint. Weather could not have been more perfect ...

I haven't been for 6 months but trout year round up there. I've caught big ones in the middle of summer

Camped there last month. There were plenty of trout most small. Small cast master and drop shot.

Caught limits on trout dough around Thanksgiving, small DFW trout but good enough for the smoker.

Went out last weekend to Santa Ana River Lakes and got this beast on hook up bait. I don’t really fish for them and this beat my previous PB by 6lbs. It weighed 8.32lbs. Super fun catch on 2lb test!

Took a 2,500 mile road trip pulling the trailer to the Cascade Mountains and everywhere in-between. Had a chance to fish Diamond Lake, about a half an hour from Crater Lake.

Nice fishes. I haven't fished Murray in years. I've been hitting Otay up as well the last few weeks. Getting the slab gills when I'm trying for crappies. I'll take either.
