The crankbait is (was) mine...BeatTheSkunk wrote: Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:55 pm Yup! I think this is my spot too. I just pulled a lipless crank and a chatterbait from the tulies. By chance were those evidence of your presence?

Last fish of the year...and a few others
Well this year was quite a fishing adventure for me...right down to the very last day. I just wanted to share a few pics from the end of the year and some of the bass from a few different places. I am not trying to brag (maybe a little...) just wanted to share some of the more than 700 fish I caught ...

Hodges Report 3-16
It was a slow start but ended up with 5 fish...not bad for my 1st outing of the year at Hodges...I threw a bunch of stuff early, first trip...lots of off season tackle purchases. But the first fish was on a texas rigged baby brush hog.

Hodges April 21 report
Well it was a long day, but ended up productive enough for me, caught 7 farmed 2. Go there and it was still a bit dark, but everyone had already got a ticket and headed to the lake...The opened the gate EARLY? That's a new one. Headed over to Hernandez side and commenced shore pounding. First fish ...

Only 1 on the spinnerbait, one on a glide bait, and the rest on the ol' wacky rig...Early release wrote: Sun Apr 21, 2024 6:55 pm Nice day, good report. Were they all on spinnerbaits or did you also have something else work? They seem to be opening a bit early lately. Last Sunday I think it was pretty dark when we all got in.

First time at El Cap
Well I have to say that I really liked my first trip to El Cap! Probably the nicest day weather wise in a long time and sometimes that means...not great fishing. But that was not the case. I don't have a boat (actually I do have a canoe, but that doesn't count) so I decided to hire a guide, what a ...

Quick morning at Hodges
Took a friend to Hodges and wanted to avoid all of my usual shore pounding, so rented a boat. Almost a quick start as I had a "dock monster" just miss while waiting for my buddy to arrive. Anyway, went right over to the birds across from the dock and there were shad everywhere and no bites :cry ...

Well...I was super excited to go to the giant bass mecca in Nor-Cal and was not disappointed (mostly, more later...) Went with my little brother and we both got fish the first day on a boat (cant remember the guide's name...my brother booked him) But here are a couple examples, sorry this time I ...

Re: SDFish party at D&K??!!
Just wondering...since I am a shore pounder by nature...is it worth going to this "lake of D&K" for me?
