End of the work week...

Quick stop on the way home from work and no skunk...that is all that matters. Lot of younger fisherman working the gigantic glide baits and trout looking swimbaits...but I was mostly working old faithful...the weightless Texas plastic worm...seems like it works...

They are hungry at Hodges!

So, as predicted I went to Hodges today (Saturday) and got lots of action. some early morning topwater blowups, but did not land any of them. Not sure if it was me or the fish...I'll say it was them. A few pics and then a funny story.

June 22 Barrett Report

Well...off I went for my annual (most years there are 2 of them) trip to Barrett. This time I was alone and trying my 2nd ever outing on the float tube. BLUF: I don't think I will do it again...

But...I did catch some fish...nothing big, a couple close to 3 lbs and a few dinks, but most were ...

Looks like you got some, nice work. I tubed out there once. Never again without a motor or a taxi arrangement. Got caught downwind a ways and almost killed myself kicking back lol.

By sneak I mean that most people have to work on Wednesdays...Got to Hodges, bought a ticket and drove over to the other side (which is the only side for me I guess) but half way there I remembered leaving my sunglasses on top of the ticket machine (oops) so I drove back and by some miracle they ...

Today I was in a hurry in the morning and tried to consolidate tackle quickly so things were pretty light, but it sure is different when you fish from shore. Standing and trying to cast in tight spots and then realizing that a lot of the baits I normally ...

Re: 8-3 Morning Sesh Making Adjustments

Had a similar day...saw lots of busters in the weeds, but couldn't get any interest in a frog...most successful bait was th MM Roboworm...again, but was a good trip due to mixed awards between th 3 of us. One each: 1st fish (2ND CAST), biggest fish (4.1lbs), and most fish (15).
