Biggest one for me.
4lbs 22".
Took my grandson one morning. Brought the ligth weight for him and a bigger one for me.
Plan was to set up a rod holder and soak some squid while I help him manage the smaller one.
After about 2 minutes he was not wanting to be the patient fisherman. So I decided to put away the bigger set up and put this smaller one into the rod holder and figure out how to keep him busy. Well, he had all sorts of fun in the surf. I kept an eye on the rod and saw some action.
We had something and I gave him the rod to reel it in. He did for a little then handed it back. I reeled a bit and double checked with - "are you sure you don't want to reel it in??" then I saw we had a small yf croaker. Next thing I see is a huge bird grabbing the fish - or trying to. He made a few attempts then left and that was it. Fish was gone. Never saw that happen.
OK, rebait and send it out. Continue playing with grandson. After a bit it looked like some action on the rod. Decided to reel it in, then I sensed we had something significant. Took a few runs and finally got it in.
Best fishing session with grandson.
ok - why is it rotated here but not on my computer??

Re: Corbina!
Nothing better than getting out with family and a nice bean to boot, a bonus. Well done !
