Still picking away at the "polluted" lake
Had a rough morning...I was shore pounding and pretty much threw the entire tackle box at and was rewarded with 0 bites. Maybe I need to be more patient? Around 10 am I reluctantly tied on the wacky rig and salvaged the day with a couple.

Re: Still picking away at the "polluted" lake
In a "fake news" story on the local news, they referred to Lake Hodges as being closed to windsurfing because it was "polluted". This is not true in a number of ways including:
1. that is not the actual reason
2. it was never closed for pollution
3. it is not polluted

Re: Still picking away at the "polluted" lake
Update: Finally got the hog I have been looking for! It was hot out there and only got 3 fish but I am not complaining...
Sorry about the topless pics, I could not put a shirt on as I was too excited.
Another pic, same fish with my entire hand and pliers in its mouth!
and because we all agree to share good and not as good...here's a dink

To be fair...the media only reported what a couple of kooks were claiming about the pollution. But still fake in the end.tomnilll wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 10:38 am In a "fake news" story on the local news, they referred to Lake Hodges as being closed to windsurfing because it was "polluted". It worked for me...I think I will stop there though, don't want to push my luck.

Don't do it unless you at least warn others around you to put their sunglasses on to protect their eyes from the bright white skin! ha ha

Funny as now the City says Hodges will be open to paddleboarding and windsurfering starting on Sept 13, which is today.
Maybe the news will say there was a great white shark living in the freshwater and it was taken to Sea World so now the
water at Hodges is safe....ha ha.

Could you see all of us racing to Hodges to try and catch the mythical freshwater white shark? Ahahaha.VinnyBass wrote: Wed Sep 13, 2023 2:29 pm Funny as now the City says Hodges will be open to paddleboarding and windsurfering starting on Sept 13, which is today.
