Got on the lake just before sunrise. Almost immediately I saw bass start busting across from the dock under the power lines area.
I kicked over and started throwing walking baits. Picked up maybe a dozen between the small Sammy, and Gunfish. Nothing over 2 lbs though, and nothing picture worthy, but fun none the less!
After the topwater died down I decided to throw on a small crankbait and troll it around a bit. Finally got a picture worthy fish. In fact it was the biggest fish by weight of the day, but nope not a bass. It was a 21/4 pound Bluegill. It's belly was so big it looked like it would burst. Caught maybe 6 nice gills on the day too but nothing like that big mama.
