Best Murray day so far this year!
Monday and Tuesday at Murray were pretty blah. A couple of clones each day, and I had to work hard to get 'em. That changed in a big way today.
I got on the water at 8 am, and decided to head to Alvarado Bay. Deep in the cove the bass were going ape $hit chasing giant schools of shad, and busting all over the place. I threw every topwater bait in my box at them, but couldn't get any takers.
I changed it up and went to a small shad colored crankbait, and then Wham-O fish on! Bass on 5 consecutive casts. The action went on till around 11 albeit slowing and eventually it stopped. I switched to a jig and picked up about a half dozen more.
Final count was 23 on the morning. Nothing giant but they were all fat, healthy, and ready to fight! Fun morning to be sure.

I thought that was you Kirk. I spent most of the day back in that cove. Only made one quick pass along the shallow shoreline and rocky point. Picked up a couple but nothing like earlier lol.
How'd you do? You're always on those big panfish.
