Float tube fishing Lake Hodges?

Float tubes are a convenient and affordable way to get on the water, and finally get to those fish that you can't reach from shore. Discuss float tubes, outfitting float tubes for fishing, and float tube fishing.

Float tube fishing Lake Hodges?

Post by Rattus »

Is fishing from a float tube at Hodges a no-go? Their FAQ says "rental boat fishing and float tubing are allowed at the reservoir" but I interpret that to mean fishing is only allowed on rentals? Anyone know why they're not allowing fishing from private vessels and if this will change? Thanks.

Do you have to carry your stuff to the water or can you get to the waters edge?

They have you park at the boat dock now and that's pretty close to the water. Watch this video and you can see the setup.
