Dog Beach, OB

Post by Dona »

found lots of Micro sand crabs and then 2 beds of fingernail size baits. located 3 different Corbina on the incoming tide but no takers. hoping conditions continue to improve and things start to get good.

Isn't it closed due to sewage spill?

Good news that the crabs are beginning to show. Did you happen to find any fingernail size soft shell crabs?

Those Corbies are tough right now, I was throwing at sight fish all morning for not a bite! Some were really nice. They got that way chowing down. Still no interest in my perfectly displayed Baits. Frustrating!

Years back a buddy and I were being all ninja, chasing this big corb up and down the beach... On our hands and knees, way back from the the water... Using no weights, just fly-lining sand crabs... This guy walks up within 10' of the fish and with his 30-40# pound rig, dropped a 4oz triangle sinker right next to that corb.. The fish eats his sand crab, and he took a fat 24" corbina home.. Our fish.. :? ...
