Nice looking walleye! I wish they were a bit bigger, I like how they taste! But typically the ones that seem to live on our shores are small, and a quick internet search tells me that even at their biggest, they're still not particularly large.

I once asked the DFG (now DGW) if there was a state record for the Walleye Surfperch and they said no one had yet submitted a record...because the minimum weight for setting a state record for walleye perch was 2lbs! I've never seen one that was one pound!jwacky wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 8:15 am Nice looking walleye! I wish they were a bit bigger, I like how they taste! Well, that gives us all hope (albeit very slight!) that the world record walleye perch is still out there waiting for one of us to reel it incrabman wrote: Fri Dec 19, 2025 8:30 amI once asked the DFG (now DGW) if there was a state record for the Walleye Surfperch and they said no one had yet submitted a record...because the minimum weight for setting a state record for walleye perch was 2lbs!
