Barrett 18th bummer

Post by Dfishin »

The bummer was I lost my phone!
Fishing was great. My son in law (John) and I on our tubes. Pretty much all places we fished had fish 1 pic will show you a place. All structure, shallow to 10,15 ft of water. Most fish cam fishing parallel in the 10 to 15' of water. Baits 3" stick baits, a fluke but fished on top and jigs were getting bit but not landing the fish. John went to Texas rigged jig trailer. Game on! Now on to the controversy of fish counts. In the morning I was up on John by 20 fish at the end of the day he was up by 21. The count was better for me then the opener, by 27 fish. Biggest in my only pic as I lost my phone 4 1/4 skinny bass, second is T rig bait not the eye (thanks Vinny, hope you don't mind), 3rd is where my phone is.

Too bad the water isn't gin clear, or else you could go swimming!

Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report.
It’s gin clear in certain spots now.

It's in about 15, 20ft of water. There is a lot of under water brush. Nothing else to do but fish.

Sir, sorry you lost your phone! I prefer to take a phone with me when out of the water for emergencies, but I fear, I too might lose it.Ten years ago, I lost my prescription polarized sunglasses in Hauser.I paid $430.00 for the sunglasses.

Have you considered the type of strong magnet they use for magnet fishing? Decent ones are only $30 on Amazon.

Sorry to hear you had a bummer day by losing your phone. When I'm on my kayak I usually tether my phone now.

I do have a tether was going to have John take a pic, so I took it off. I'm not a smart man.
