They are hungry at Hodges!

Post by tomnilll »

So, as predicted I went to Hodges today (Saturday) and got lots of action. some early morning topwater blowups, but did not land any of them. Not sure if it was me or the fish...I'll say it was them. A few pics and then a funny story.

Now the story...caught this guy around 9:30 and he looked familiar, Zombie eye and all...I believe I caught him before...

Now the funny part...on my walk back, near the same location at around noon...I caught him again! He must be HUNGRY!

Total count was 9 landed (3 lost, countless missed)...tried real hard for the 10th, but I got too hot...my car thermometer confirmed it was hot at 100!

I think I caught that one before too, there are a few spawning still and a lot of them are really hungry post spawn. I caught two others last time that had crooked tails which was weird to see, birth defects from the same spawn or something

Crazy story. I have caught bass with recognizable characteristics on back to back weeks, but never the same day. Love it....
