Skin Cancer **kind of graphic**

Hey All, Just wanted to post a friendly reminder about covering up and using sunscreen, especially you younger guys.

This past Friday I had to have, what was thought to be, a dime sized spot of skin cancer removed from the left side of my forehead. Well once they started to remove it they found ...

Re: Skin Cancer **kind of graphic**

About 20 years ago, I began wearing sun gaiters/face shields because I found myself in sunny conditions a lot, and sun screen on the face was a losing proposition as it had to be constantly reapplied and sun screen in the eyes is as fun as a kick to the balls. At the same time, I had adopted SPF ...

Re: A nice, fresh introduction

Thanks for sharing with us and great pics also.
We look forward to seeing more fish reports from you as the bass fishing should start even getting better in the coming months. Tight lines @Osidecoffee :-)

Hodges Start...

Well I have to say, I am disappointed in my start at Hodges...but this is most likely due to the super inflated expectations I had built up over the long closure. But here goes...two days last Saturday 2-8 and today Sunday 2-16 for a total of 2 fish, but I will get to that in a second. First of all ...

An El Cap Kinda Weekend

Feels like spring is on the horizon.. I spent both days this weekend at El Cap. Chatted with Early release on Friday and he mentioned that he and Pourboy were heading to Cap Sunday morning. I was already tentatively planning a trip there Saturday so I'd get a chance to scout a bit.

Saturday ...

Re: An El Cap Kinda Weekend

Adding to Jeremy's post. It was a pretty good day for all baits. Chris caught fish with his jigging. It was like watching a master class, I was right next to him and he bounced the jig in what must have been inches of water, dragged it a bit and then swung for the fences. We then learned I have no ...

Re: A nice, fresh introduction

Thanks everyone! We’ll see how well I can do balancing the surf, lagoons, and freshwater over spring and summer. Hopefully I can have a little success at each of them! It feels like I could easily spread myself too thin and lose a good handle on the bite in all three areas haha, but we are ...

Cap No Cap

0330 and we're leaving Los Angeles, en route to beautiful San Diego County, GPS set to El Cap, where we will hopefully not be donating our tournament fees to other anglers in two weeks. And speaking of anglers, even if we fail miserably, least we get free hot dogs for lunch, courtesy of Angler's ...

All's well that ends well...2-22 at Hodges

Decided to grab a boat and give more of the lake a try than I usually have access to walking the shore. Went with my buddy Chris (gotta have someone to drive the boat...). Day started with Pourboy Early release intros at the boat launch, was great to meet in person! Then we drove all over the lake ...

2/24-AM Session/SD River

After some recent warm days, I decided to hit the river again. I need to remember that we are still in February and water temp
was still pretty cool, especially at the river. After several casts with some crank baits with no takers and a few underspins, I decided
to slow it down a little. Worked a ...

Re: Otay 3/2 (don't fear the algae)

I didn't stay too long after you left brother, just long enough to pick up a couple more along some rocks with a jig in about 10 feet. You were killing it out there! Great fun and good conversation with a great guy CorsoEnthusiast .

I ended up with an even dozen with the best being a 2.4 pictured ...

3/4- Deep and Shallow

With rain in the forecast the next 3 days, I decided to get a little fishing in this morning. Was trying to make a decision to fish mostly
shallow or maybe just deep.....so I fished both. I mixed it up in deep water with blades and spoons and despite not finding the huge
schools of shad like in ...

It's been a while

It's been a while since I last posted. Lol. I kind of forgot that this forum existed. Here are a few fish from the Santee Lakes recently The bass are beginning to move up shallow. There's lots of small males feeding up near the shoreline. I think I've caught 17 or 18 in the past couple of trips ...

Otay 3/8

Fun jig bite at Otay today. I finished the morning with 11 fish total. Most were in the mid 2 lb range, with the best being a 3.2. I saw a bunch of males up on beds, but only one big female, and she wanted nothing to do with me.

All in all though it was a ton of fun!

Spring is finally here tight ...

"Stalking" Day at Probation

It's stocking day at Probation Pond, and the locals couldn't be happier, as the ramp was loaded with anxious individuals ready to score a stocker, or 12.

Best Murray day so far this year!

Monday and Tuesday at Murray were pretty blah. A couple of clones each day, and I had to work hard to get 'em. That changed in a big way today.

I got on the water at 8 am, and decided to head to Alvarado Bay. Deep in the cove the bass were going ape $hit chasing giant schools of shad, and busting ...
