Not that I am complaining! I love me some frog fishing, but I wish they'd have been a bit bigger. I stuck and landed 5 of them out of probably 11 blowups. My frog technique is rusty, and I kept setting too early haha.
Still, lots 'o fun.

Frogs and fighter jets 7/11
I went to Miramar for the first time in years this morning. I threw cranks, swimmers, Senkos, jerks, t-rigs, jigs and even a dropshot for a brief spell. The only bites I could get were popping a frog at the edge of the tulles.
Not that I am complaining! I love me some frog fishing, but I wish they'd have been a bit bigger. I stuck and landed 5 of them out of probably 11 blowups. My frog technique is rusty, and I kept setting too early haha.

I have been guilty of setting too early on the frog in the past too. They will hold those frogs like a soft plastic. Definitely pays to hold off on the hookset. Also if you find a spot in the reeds where you can cast back into them, that pays off too.

No eats on the frog, but all my fish came on topwater at Lower O yesterday. Busters everywhere in the area I was fishing and they were eating my little JDM topwater as soon as it hit the water.

We were there in the afternoon from about 4 on Saturday. Rangers never came around to chase us off so we fished till 8:30 and left cause we didn’t have light.
