Missed Opportunities

Depending on the presentation, how do you respond your lure to a missed bite?

Re: Lake Hodges sad news

The stupidity of the City of San Diego never ceases! They knew the dam was over 100 years old and they did nothing to plan for its replacement! Now they've wasted 11 billion gallons of water and I guarantee they'll raise your rates to make up for it!!! Morons!!

Re: Lake Hodges sad news

Here's what happens when someone at a TV station goes looking for internet drama. If anyone can find anything to support the claim that the lake is polluted, I'd be interested in seeing it.

The eleven billion gallons, btw, has alread been released; that's the tally for the last year.

But in ...

Re: What combo has a more forgiving drag, smooth fight?

For LMB fishing, I'm using straight braid a lot more and can't see my line choice evolution turning back.

For the concerns about riping hooks/ baits away from fish, which combo, spinning or baitcasting would be considered to compensate more for this worry?

I am more accurate with a bait caster ...

Massachusetts Fishing

Hi everyone, I moved to Massachusetts a month ago and have been fishing a lot in my free time. I had heard people tell me that the inshore fishing here was good but I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I'm not even exaggerating, I think I've caught close to 200 striper since late August. I caught ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

Good news,
CalEPA, It's possible that the CalEPA investigation case managers can be trusted. Nobody can blame me for acting like there is a big doubt about that. I refused to take my update on the investigation alone over the phone, as has been offered, and asked for a Zoom meeting with various ...

Up date from our home in Kentucky

Big pond pic.png

We finally made the transition to becoming Kentucky residents!! Life is a little slower, laid back, and enjoying the country life.

After adding structure to the pond and 25 lbs. of fathead minnows, there is still a long way to go in getting the bass fishery to where it needs to ...

Re: Up date from our home in Kentucky

Thanks! It’s been a new challenge. Having not retired, trying to stay ahead with 6 acres of grass cutting keeps me busy. It takes 5 hours to cut on a “zero turn ridding lawnmower”

It’s nice to see the local deer makes it presence on most nights, from their hoof marks around the pond.

If ever you ...

Fish recipes

As I find recipes I like, I will post them here and invite others to do the same.

First recipe is "Tuna for Tuna Haters" . My wife says she doesn't like fresh tuna (although she will eat canned tuna, go figure) so I came up with this. She loved it. My daughter stopped over and had some and ...

Fishing up here in cowboyland

I sure miss the fishing in Southern California, especially the bass fishing. If you live in southwest Wyoming, bass fishing is pretty much not an option, unless you figure out how to target the smallmouth bass in Flaming Gorge (which I have not done, so far). But trout fishing is another story.
The ...
