Re: Lake Henshaw
Hey! Yep, you can definitely kayak at Lake Henshaw. It’s a great spot for a peaceful paddle, and you can even do a bit of fishing while you're out there. Just make sure to check current conditions and any rental or launch rules before you go. Enjoy 8-)

4/11-Further than Murray
Well I thought it would be a good morning to pay a visit to fellow SDFish bass fishermen Mcfish and Fisheromen on their home lake. Yes, I decided to venture off a lot further than my normal less than 2 mile drive to Murray, to the Lake of D & K. My first visit this year and was greeted by Mcfish in ...

Re: Closer than Murray....
Great job out there this morning. You really
know every nook and cranny on your home lake
where bass will be….and get them to bite. Every time I heard “oh yeah!”… I knew you were hooking up another bass. It was fun out there and glad I got to witness you in action doing what you do best.

Re: Closer than Murray....
I weighed his five pounder and I was pretty close to McFish when he lost that other one and from my view could’ve pulled around 7 pounds.KillinTime wrote: Sun Apr 13, 2025 12:50 pm Nice to see that lake producing early and consistently.
Any estimates on the size of the one that got away?

Re: BFS forum
Dan, I had first hand experience watching you catch bass after bass after bass using your BFS gear. When you showed me the baits and equipment you use it was pretty amazing to me. Here I have everything that’s heavy, extra heavy, or mag heavy but you’re living proof that you don’t need all that to ...

Re: Late Otay post 4/16
Nice job out there. Always a little less when spawned out, but still some nice looking bass and most of all bet you had a great time. As soon as I see your name on a post or see you in person at a lake, the first thing I think is I bet he is catching bass on jerk baits. Always fun to have a go-to ...

4/18-Post Spawn Murray
There is always a period after the spawn that slows things down as a few recent trips to Murray have been tougher.
I also stop the lake pretty often and talk to other fishermen and it seems that most agree it has slowed down. That doesn't mean you can't catch bass, but for me it has been a lot of ...

Re: 4/18-Post Spawn Murray
I spoke to you briefly out there. Slow for me as well, but I also got a “better” one. I was wondering how you did.

Very nice!!!
I probably should’ve worked the tulles
and shoreline rather than stay out in deep water.
Anyway, tight lines and hope to see you out there again ...

Re: El Capitan 4/19
You are so lucky to be able to fish 6 days....or
is it 7 days a week?
I only wish I could fish as often as you, but my arms would be so sore from fishing and then trying to type all the fish reports, my fingers would go into shock...ha ha.

Re: Cap on Friday 4/18
Heck yeah! Glad you had fun bass fishing at El Cap with your son.
It's a dang shame that the water is being released so much, but at least you got out there in time and from looking at the pics and reading your report....all had a great day! Thank you for sharing with us
and tight lines always.

Re: Cap on Friday 4/18
I remember last year they were releasing tons of gallons of water out of El Cap right down into the San Diego river which was absolutely ridiculous.
So sad!
