Re: Lake Hodges Fishing: Post Spawn Bass? And a big Whoops!
Enjoyed your video on YouTube and I keep thinking about how close that hook was to your eye. Thank goodness it landed where it did. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us and tight lines always.

Re: Not what I planned.....
I wonder how many baits I would’ve changed
before I tied on a topwater bait if I was up there fishing near you this morning? Ha ha Anyway, none of that matters as It sounds like you hit the jackpot going out to the middle of the lake. Those are some nice fish and bet you were having a blast out ...

Re: Not what I planned.....
What is crazy is each week, things seem to change at that lake and you never know what to expect but being flexible
is the key as McFish proved.

Re: Lake Hodges Fishing: Post Spawn Bass? And a big Whoops!
I guess the fact I wear glasses can come in handy at times. So glad you were ok. When I saw that hook on YouTube it
was pretty shocking. Thanks for sharing your videos and I imagine we will see you in sunglasses a few times down the
road. Tight lines always Chris.

Sign against reduced City Lakes access
Hey everyone, I saw this on Nextdoor.
If you go to https://www.change.org/topic/san-diego there is currently a petition to sign to keep Lake Miramar open more than just 2 days a week.
I imagine there will be many San Diegans out there doing what they can to try to fight reduced SD City lakes access ...

Re: El Cap launch ramp?
This is really sad when it gets to the point
where you can’t even go out and fish out of
a boat on s lake because there’s not enough
water to launch.
Thanks City of San Diego!

Re: Why do I love tiny crankbaits?
Nice job as always Dan. I just been picking up mostly clones there, but I bet you have a lot
more fun bringing them in on that BFS gear.

5/6- SD River morning session
The last time I went to the SD River(4/23), I saw lots of floating dead bass and only got one bite and was very lucky to even catch a micro bass.
This morning did not see any dead fish which was nice. I covered a lot of water, first tossing a fluke and a few other reaction baits and no takers. It ...

5/9-Recent Murray
Just a few pics from a couple recent trips to Murray pretty much sum it up.
There are bass up near the top of the water and bass down near the bottom.
Most are clones, but hope you find your action on top or on the bottom! :-)

Re: Miramar ramp closed for launch
Just an FYI
The water levels at Murray have been fluctuating up and down recently also. It came up nice the
other week and then was down this morning. You can still launch a boat but I took this pic
today(5/9) after my boat was on my trailer just to show you the end of the boat ramp.

Re: 5/9-Recent Murray
It’s funny as I have lots of Sammy’s and yet
that’s my lucky one. Or maybe it’s only lucky because that’s the one I always grab? Ha ha
It’s always exciting to catch topwater bass on
hard baits, but flukes seem to get more action lately in this early top water season.

You too Vinny! I rarely fish Fridays but my kid had testing sooo...
I caught a couple of topwater and crankbait fish early but mostly focused on the edges of the tules. All in the 2 pound range. I lost count but it was over a dozen or so. I'm looking forward to some bigger fish making themselves ...

Re: Why post fake reports?
It boggles my mind why someone would feel the need to post a fake report- especially Barrett?
It’s Barrett, it’s an amazing fishery.
Maybe some feel they need to embellish numbers like lost count over 100… maybe insecurities, justifying far drives from out of town with a lot of expenses? Who ...

Re: Why post fake reports?
So after reading the fake report, I am laughing, because I too wonder what the point of that was. There is a now defunct message board, where years ago, people would post fake reports to get people away from their bites and lakes. Back in the day, people would lurk message boards and if 2 or 3 ...

Re: FFS/ LiveScope/ Activetarget Yes, No, Maybe So?
If you fish basic bass fishing areas like the shoreline, or shoreline stick-ups, tulles or rocky areas along the shore, there is no point
in spending money for FFS. If it looks bassy, then throw your lure over to it is what I do. To find high spots or structure in deeper
