Regarding the jigs....I remember missing bass when flippin a jig that had small hooks and then my hook up ratio went up immediately when I used a jig with a bigger hook. If you are catching bass with small hooks then just keep on doing what you are doing.....I was just giving you my 2 cents on hook ...

I thought about driving all the way up to the Lake of D & K, but instead made a closer run up to Lake Miramar. Decided to just take my small 10' '5" kayak that has no electronics on it and also meant I could not take a lot of gear with me so I just loaded some worms and some creature type baits ...

The lake level has fluctuated up and down just since me fishing there on Friday. I went over to the lake on Saturday afternoon
and the water rose a few feet higher than Friday. I went over today and after talking to you on their boat ramp yesterday, and
the water level went down more than a few ...

Just a heads up if anyone’s heading over to Lake Murray with a boat, you’re not gonna be able to launch because they blocked the ramp. It says car toppers and Kayaks only on the sign because the water is low. Another bummer!!!

ps. That guy on the water in the photo had a car topper and said they put the signs and tape across the ramp after he was out fishing. Again, you can still fish and launch a kayak or a car topper as of today 3/26, but that may change.

Drove over to Murray late this afternoon and ramp is still closed and I’m pretty sure it’ll be closed for another week or so.
