Re: 2/21-Late Morning fun
Nice fishies!
Method of fizzing?
I posted this video a few weeks ago in a Feb. 5th report, and is pretty easy to follow
and how I do it.

I have one of these in my kayak and one in my boat for fizzing.

Re: Chilly days of winter up on the prairie
So....I have been following the open water south, as I have no desire to go ice fishing. Most days are sub freezing, but fishing is doable, as long as a stiff breeze doesn't come up. I have been out on most of the weekends in January and February so far, along with my trusty fishing pardner and ...

Re: Fred Hall
Have lotta great memories of going to the show when it was in Del Mar for many years. Getting up there very early before they open, get in and get out of there before it got crazy crowded. Used to find some great deals…. but through the years it never was the same so I stopped going.

Re: Da Murr 2/24 and 2/25
Talked to McFish yesterday and a couple other guys today and heard of mostly small bass being caught, but glad to see the nice
one you caught. Yes the warmer water definitely will bring more bass in to shallower water and I like the part you said,
"And coming shortly after that.... TOPWATER yesssss ...

Re: Murray 2/25
You wouldn’t go back to Minnesota every year if you weren’t having fun. Those smallies you catch every year seem to make it worth it.Big C wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2025 6:01 am Nice job on the bigger models. I do obsess about my lake in Minnesota in June where I get my bigger models.

3/4- Deep and Shallow
With rain in the forecast the next 3 days, I decided to get a little fishing in this morning. Was trying to make a decision to fish mostly

Re: 3/4- Deep and Shallow
Is this the famous pre spawn bite I read about? When does spawn start?
While there are some bass in shallow water as part of a pre-spawn, I think it will be a few more weeks before it is
more of a full swing. Each lake is a little different but some warm weather can help speed things up a ...

Re: It's been a while
Nick,
Speaking of a while....Have not fished there much...but do you like lake 2 or 5 best?
I just remember catching more bass years ago in those lakes.

3/10-Quick Miramar session
Late start to making a fishing decision combined with 8 West & 15 North traffic, I finally was ready to launched my kayak this morning around 8:30 up at Lake Miramar. Tossed some swim baits for a while and then wasted a lot of fish time going way down to the end of the lake to Escondido arm for one ...

Re: 3/21- Murray was Fun!
@VinnyBass…That was a strange, but amazing, day to say the least. I wouldn’t say I was putting on a clinic. I got a lot of micro-bass. It wasn’t until I started following your lead that I started getting any size.
I even caught a couple on a spoon, which is a first for me!

I know……. when I passed the test and got my boaters card, I felt like I just graduated again from school.
