Closer than Murray....

Post by Mcfish »

Fun day at the home lake today! I was hoping that it would produce today since I talked Vinny into making the trip out to my neighborhood! The pattern today was pretty much the opposite of last week! I got into a shallow bite today that wasn't around last week. The fish were mostly fun clone size, so after awhile I went in search of bigger fish and found them in 15'-20' of water! I got a nice 5lber and soon after hooked a bigger fish with a bad attitude. I got to see her when she jumped, but she then went to the bottom and sawed me off on the rocks...sad! I mixed in some more fun shallow water fish and ended the day on one of Vinny's secret deep rock piles. I hooked into 2 nice fish and proceeded to have both of them come unbuttoned!!! Aaarrggghhh! Good times having Vinny out on our east county water! I ended the day with 19...and found ways to lose 5 or 6 more!

Great job out there this morning. You really
know every nook and cranny on your home lake
where bass will be….and get them to bite. Every time I heard “oh yeah!”… I knew you were hooking up another bass. It was fun out there and glad I got to witness you in action doing what you do best.
Tight lines always buddy :-)

Nice fish brother! Personally I think the bigger ones are the best escape artists.

I was happy when she started going deep, figuring she wouldn't jump again...but that turned to disaster!

Nice to see that lake producing early and consistently.
Any estimates on the size of the one that got away?

I weighed his five pounder and I was pretty close to McFish when he lost that other one and from my view could’ve pulled around 7 pounds.

Big ones just love to get away. They get your heart racing for sure!
