I threw practically the entire arsenal at them today. The final count was 8. Nothing huge, but all were solid 2+ pounders so I am not complaining. Every fish came courtesy of a tiny Megabass Griffon crank bait. They just wouldn't touch anything else.

I almost always tend to work baits pretty darn
fast year-round, but was working the bait with
a fairly slow retrieve.

I went to Lake Hemet yesterday with my son. We threw night crawlers and power bait deep. At the same time fished around with gold and chrome Kastmasters for about four hours. Not a sniff.

I fished that lake with my Brother, Sister, Cousin and Stepdad when I was a kid… Best trout fishing I ever did… We all limited out 2 days running with Kamloops rainbows that averaged 2#s after being gutted..
