Nice conditions with the outgoing tide this morning at Mission Beach from 6:30 until about 9:30. Light current, smallish waves, calm tide and almost no kelp/grass. The bite died off hard around 8:30 but I had a pit stop to make on the way home so I spent an extra hour enjoying the sun that had finally warmed up the sand.
It was COLD walking back and forth from my setup and the water!
Kind of a strange session; the bite was steady for the first couple hours, and I caught 9-10 perch, but other than a few of them they were SMALL. As in, 2” or so. I’m normally good for one of those over a morning, but to pull in 5-6 of that size was odd. It made the 6” perch feel like monsters
