Hi guys,
I bought a mold that makes tiny flukes. I'd like to rig it with a plain ol' EWG worm hook, just like I use in 3 inch Bass Assassins and the larger version of this fluke (basically a copy of a 3 inch zoom fluke). On a 3 inch bait, a 1/0 EWG hook works like a keel and make the bait swim upright....and slides into the hook slot on the bait's belly when a bass clamps down on it.
Can't find EWG hooks small enough to work in this lure.
I found some funky-weird hooks on amazon that work, and even caught a couple of dinks using the new tiny jerkbaits....but the hooks are superfine wire and will straighten if a bigger fish takes it.
And I found some kahle hooks that might work...but not as well as an EWG bend.
Does anyone know of any brand that makes really small EWG hooks? Like down to a size 2 or 4?
thanks.

Bass pro sells their brand of imitation gamagatsu G lock hooks. The G locks are small enough. They make them down to size one and two…maybe smaller. The only thing that “sucks” about the G locks is they are hard to remove. It’s a double edge sword. The fish will stay pinned while in the water and out because of the shape. They are wide gap, not fine wire but not super line either. The gamagatsu last longer but the bass pro version will get destroyed a lot of times when removing the hook with pliers. Up side is, a bulk bag is cheap and it’s probably a blessing in disguise having to re tie….

Check out facifa_us on ebay. "Wide gap worm hook" They used to be called paxipa. Good quality, sticky sharp, cheap price, 2-3week shipping. I use a #6 ewg for gulp sandworms.
