Re: New Loveland Updates

“The public is policing it, for now, activism 101. Should have never stopped, and should never stop again. The Forest Service wants the easement to stay open. It seems like there is a new Descanso Ranger, Kyle Smith. He might be temporary but we don't know yet. But the same awful Forest Service ...

Turning a blind eye and doing nothing but bitching is the same thing. Please keep that in mind. Have you helped?
We are at a point where lake users' interests are at risk of being wiped out in a compromise for just water. I don't have time to explain it at this moment. Those lake users include ...

"Liking" someone's post is ok, even if it's not sincere it's not prohibited. You can just ignore it. You can also add a user to your ignore list by going to their profile and clicking on "Add foe" as shown below. That way you won't be seeing any of that user's posts.

Re: New Loveland Updates

Edited, I was probably spreading a conspiracy theory about the hours being shortened the sign at the lake says the parking lot closes at 5:00, But a friend eventually figure somebody probably pulled a plastic # 6 off the sign. Sweetwaters website still says it closes at 6:00.

I pointed out the ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

Issa seems to have too many national issues to deal with at this point, he seems to be on TV everyday discussing the border problems and the homeless. I think Loveland is way down his list! Jones seems to have more of a local interest!

Re: Poaching

I suspect as times and the general economy get tougher, more and more people will resort to poaching of both fish and game, especially those who don't know anything about regulations and the law in America.

Re: Poaching

I was up in La Jolla around Bird Rock, when a scuba guy came walking out of the water with an orange fish on the end of his spear..I asked him if he knew what it was and he said "yep, a red snapper! I said "nope, a garibaldi, the state fish and it's protected..might cost you $500." He threw it back ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

Good news,
CalEPA, It's possible that the CalEPA investigation case managers can be trusted. Nobody can blame me for acting like there is a big doubt about that. I refused to take my update on the investigation alone over the phone, as has been offered, and asked for a Zoom meeting with various ...

Re: California Boater Card

After spending many years working on and running boats, I’m somewhat glad they require this. Even though most of the test revolves around life jackets. There are A LOT of people that don’t know the “rules of the road” in navigable waters. The test just touches on them but it’s good. No where near ...

Sure doesn’t take very long for homeless shelters , bike lanes in hillcrest. Soup kitchens.
Wake up people, this is where the water is stored for the community.

Sweetwater got an insurance payout for the fishing float and the General Manager is recommending to the board that they put it back in the same size and the same place. I know not every Loveland Angler cares about that fishing float.....but the implications.

The waterboard meeting went well. The Board authorized the Executive Officer to work with stakeholders on beneficial uses at the Local Reservoir.
If you are curious about what this potentially means with a little more depth of conversation. PM me.
