El Cap - Bass and Tow Straps

Post by TATomlinson »

Well, El Cap is still on fire. I was out there Saturday morning. I immediately got stuck in the mud and broke my kayak cart. A truck was stuck in the mud as well. Whoever pulled them out may have left their tow straps in the back of my truck. I’ll hold on to them for you. Other than the rough start and early shad on shad crime, I had another great day. Still hitting jerk baits and flukes.

El Cap should have a “house” tow strap ready to go for the yakkers and tube guys with their low water nonsense! Joking, not joking 😜

That mud at Cap sucks. I had to straighten out the sideways bass and sorry to hear about your kayak cart.
Bummer, but catching bass probably eased the pain. Thanks for sharing and tight lines. :-)

No, I should have. It was impossible to launch from where we have been. I had to put in about 20 yards to the left of the mudflat that is now at the launch site. The good news is that it’s still producing solid numbers.

You have to launch way left of the ramp now, and let me tell you, it is NOT easy. The mud is awful. 8 should have taken pics.
