Back to the new favorite but with a new plan...respooled one baitcaster with 10lb mono and fished just a weightless senco in the edges of the tulles...trying to get more bites. Seemed to work, got 6 bites in a couple hours but lost four of them because I was afraid to set the hook too hard with the light line...the results were still super with 10lbs with just 2 fish...
And one last pic, just for @VinnyBass

Re: Back at it...
I got stuck on a trip with just a Ten Pound rig, which it quickly became evident, was just too light. The Bass there had a habit of digging into the bottom and fraying the line. I would have to retie every fish and if I didn’t, the line would break on the hook set. The cure was 5 feet of 15 pound Maxima a was able to beg off another fisherman. That length of “Shock Leader” made all the difference. Not only could I set the hook hard but I could grab the line and control the fish along the side of the boat when they were too big to bounce. It didn’t fray nearly as much between fish and didn’t seem to affect the amount of bites I got. I routinely use leader on my Braid but this was my first time, mono to mono. Now I do it all the time. If you ever get stuck, getting your ass kicked by big fish, I highly recommend it.
