I haven't posted for a while so I figured I should let you know I'm still kickin'.

Murray has been a little tough the last couple of weeks. I've been averaging around 5-6 fish per day, but they've all been dinks and clones so I've mostly foregoing pictures.

I actually saw the infamous Vinny out there yesterday on his boat. I bet anything he did a lot better than I have been ..that showoff

Actually my last couple trips (one a while back and recent yesterday when were there) were pretty darn tough. I threw so many baits in those 2 trips that I could have broke a count clicker if I clicked on it every time a different bait went into the water. You actually are smarter fisherman and have the patience to stick to things that work. I just get a little impatient and that's a downfall when the bite is slow. Especially when I am working baits too fast like it is in the middle of July or August when I should be working them slow with the cooler water temps. I can't count that one that came off, so I only landed 4 yesterday. You have been doing better than me and really have mastered catching bass on the BFS gear and baits. (I won't tell you about the X-heavy rod I just bought)

I'd call it more a combination of BFS and power BFS. Some came on a Dobyns Sierra rod with a small Megabass Griffon crank bait. But most came on my Trika 6x medium rod throwing a 3/16 jig with a 2.5 inch Yum chunk trailer, so I'd describe that as more of a power BFS setup.

In either case the bites have been very light and hard to detect. I have had to slow my presentation way down to get bit. The water temp is still in the mid 60s, but the fish seem sluggish on the bite, and it's difficult to find a pattern. Obviously I haven't got a handle on where the bigger ones even are, but I suspect they have moved deeper.

Murray should be stocking trout at some point soon. That always seems to bring the bigger ones up.

I was wondering how you have been.
I haven't fished in a couple weeks (sucks). I change my motorhome over to lithium batteries. I had to change all the battery gear, some wiring and put in a big inverter/ charger. Now my rig is totally off the grid.
