Post by robert_smith »

Got to cap early saw Dan at ramp Chris shamen was also there with there super tubes I raced to back of lake started w sakamata shad 5โ€ got couple tossing around rocks decent fish but skinny missed couple others swam at me nothing on beaver or shad after I got most way to the back so I decided to try new lure after watching Bruce smith on sd bass fishing podcast catch on magic swimmer 95 at otay was a good choice shimmy swimmer 125 john at anglers sold me I thought I was dumb for wasting more money on dumb hard baits I wonโ€™t use but I tied it on and tried after about 15 mins got a 14โ€er said ok it works then I ended up landing 5 more on it 2-2.5 range fat belly heavy for their size itโ€™s like a topwater wake bait awesome blow ups got a big one blow up on it close to yak missed the lure was bummed so went same drift again and he nailed it again but was at full cast he dug down strait weight by time I got over top he had me and lure popped free he bent treble hook strait to get off ๐Ÿ˜ญ was my highlight had a blast watching em explode on it ๐ŸŽฃ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hell yes, I think I was the first to Google it haha! One of the fun things about being retired and fishing 3-4 days per week is trying new stuff! Thanks Robert.
