Started off doing the normal stuff along the bank. A few fish but nothing to get excited about. We switched tactics to off the bank, deeper water and started throwing HookUp Baits off the bank in 15 to 20 ft of water. Game on. We ended up with 80 fish throwing 1/8 oz colors of Ice and Green Pumpkin which are shad and crawdad colors. It was not the normal hookup Bait retrieve but more of keeping the lure steady and near the bottom. We caught quite a few dish later in the morning just hanging them under the boat neat the bottom off of the large boulders faces in Pine arm. It was by accident we found that out as we were engaged in a conversation and stopped a retrieve and just let the lure sit as we talked. Bam! we got a bite. Well if it worked once, it will work again and it did. Bizarre. Hardly any movement and they were attacking it hard. We didn't mind. It was steady enough that we just kept doing it, laughing every time we dead sticked the HookUp Bait.
Lori said this is the last weekend and then they get the lake ready for Oct duck hunting.

Re: Report 9/24
Thanks for the report. The fish under the boat I have been doing all season. It seems weird you don't need to cast out to get them.

Re: Report 9/24
Thanks for the 411, might get out Sunday for the finale. That 15-20 off rocks has been a good zone most of my trips.
