Miramar 8/1

Post by Dannicus »

Well, I certainly don't have Miramar all figured out like @VinnyBass , and @Pourboy , or the rest of you pros. I managed 6 fish over 7 hours, but all were clones, and man I really had to work to get them.

I got no love at all on cranks, jerks, flukes, frogs, or anything that swims. All 6 fish came on worms, and a ned rig. I saw some bigger ones on my down scope, but they appeared to be laughing, and pointing at me with their front fins. Still, it was fun to get back on a lake that I rarely fish.

Last time I fished Miramar I got that awful SKUNK smell all over me, so in my book you did well, the last time I able to land six Bass was at Lake Jennings that was a couple of months ago.
I noticed there’s never any one posting from Jennings, do you ever fish Jennings I never here from any of Vinny, Pourboy, Fishtricks, Mcfish etc ever fishing Jennings,
I’m wondering why?

Yeah, Miramar is pretty interesting lake. Two prior trips were really fun as the bass were on the chew and even a few healthy ones. But my last trip was definitely a lot tougher. I guess that applies to most lakes but always fun to explore something different.
Thanks for sharing and tight lines always amigo. :-)

Used to fish there often years ago but not so much now. The main reason many guys don’t fish there is because they won’t allow float tubes or sit on top Kayaks at the lake. If they did, they’d be a lot of fishermen there. Years ago when they announced, they’re gonna allow kayaks everyone was excited and then they determined they would not allow sit on top Kayaks, which most guys have for bass fishing.

I hate it when the fish are mocking me! You know there's days when those fish are down there staring at the bait and saying "not today dude"! I don't want to hear about their bad moods anymore..especially their live bait or nothing attitude!

I don't fish Jennings because they don't allow float tubes.

I get the reason for tube and yak fisherman but what about all those with boats? Really no one fishes there, the last time I fished there was the last time I’ve caught six fish.

Great job, man! I went there yesterday for a couple of hours with only 3 to show for it. A much different bite than the week prior. I did hear the fish giggling at me as well. By the way I think you mean 8/1 for the title, correct?

Yeah, I saw that "7/1 date" also. I was going to ask Dan the last time I saw
him if that was a flask on the side of his tube, but chose to respect his privacy...
Not that there is anything wrong with drinking...:-)
