1st time to the sunken forest...
Well, I have driven by for years and never stopped to fish...what is wrong with me? Finally gave it a try and rented a boat last Sunday. I mostly wanted to learn about the lake and try a lot of things and that we did. Got a plopper fish early while my buddy Chris was throwing flys at the carp.
So since that worked, I switched it up...went to a bitsy bug with a big green craw and that worked too.
So, I switched it up and tied on a purple and black jig with a purple brush hog, and it worked (biggest fish of the day).
Threw a worm all over and got a few more and my buddy got a couple on his new technique...the wacky ned rig...go figure.
I will go back with a more focused plan next time and fully expect to do well. Final count was 7 for me and 2 of Chris.
