El Cap 4/8

Nice day at The Captain. I only had about 3 hours to fish but with Murray closed I decided on a quick trip to El Cap.

I didn't get on the water till after 9 and picked up a few drinks and clones casting a jig to rocky bank areas. It started pretty slow, but I finally found a pattern. The larger fish were in 20 ft. and really liked my large Ned bait. I ended up with close to a dozen or so with the largest being pictured.

No real giants but still a lot of fun. I wish I'd have found the pattern a bit earlier but next time lol

Good to see you out there Dan. I saw him pick up a couple on his way in as I was at the dock playing with my spot lock. I think it's finally fix. Fun day for me too.

The dinks were easy pickings...the bigger clones took me a while to figure lol. Of course I was probably spoiled a bit from my outing at Barrett on the previous Sunday too so ...

Headed to Alamo in Az this weekend and if its half as good as Barrett Sunday I will be doing back flips!
