Pyramid, Castaic....in fact, Castaic's smallie population has really exploded in the past few years. DVL has a few, but it's hard to target them. Big Bear also has a population as well as Arrowhead, if you have access to it.

Lake cuyamaca supposedly was stocked with sone but I’ve never caught or seen one caught. Best bet is down in the desert. Lots of water every where you turn and most bass you catch down there are small mouth. A lot of smaller ones but there are some pigs down there.

I got into arrowhead once and it was definitely smallieville. Didn’t get any big ones but still fun. Got a nice one in big bear but it was the only one I got. Water was lower then so hopefully it improves now that they’ve had water for a few years.
