Silverstrand 5/10

Post by Jusbigguns »

Changed places and hit up silverstrand SB. Got there at 7am extreme low tide. Was throwing a Honeybadger 2.2" swim bait in motor oil and moderate salad. About 8 i got nailed and it broke in my 10' trifecta lite. Was a Bat Ray and i fought that beast for 20 minutes before i used the early release method. It was a blast. Re-tied and I met a fellow name Rey and he was using these 2.2" crawdads and he got almost a 14" perch. He gave me one of the Crawdads and I got nailed by another Bat. I'm using 8# twang and he was heading for Japan. The Penn reel i use has a very smooth drag and it was singing. I broke that one off too. Put on another super slayer in motor oil and got raked again for a 3rd one. Fought it a long time saw him and line broke again. None the less I had a great time and to top it off i stopped at the Tamale factory on the way home. Great Morning. Going again Friday.
