Just spent the last 2 weeks fishing at Silverstrand and Camp Pendleton(Del Mar Beach). The water was cold at both places 57.3. Was a Perch fest and I was using Honey Badger baits in motor oil. Fished the incoming tide this morning using my new rod. Lots of Salad in the water for the big skunk. Momma said theyll be days like this.

Those guys were using 3 OZ. I fish Max 3/4 oz. My 10' Trifecta Lite isnt designed to cast more then 3/4 oz. Feel free to PM if you want some more advice on how to be a slayer.

Changed places and hit up silverstrand SB. Got there at 7am extreme low tide. Was throwing a Honeybadger 2.2" swim bait in motor oil and moderate salad. Not me, I'm using bloodwoorms. Expensive but effective.

I'm a surf fisherman, Alot different then these guys though. My fish that i catch (Perch,Croaker,Corbina)are in Knee deep water. 1/2 Oz weight and a #2 hook. If i catch rays and sharks i'm too deep. Nothing better then hooked up to a spotfin with a Trifecta lite ML. 6# line.
