NOC 6/19

Post by Midnightpass »

Met a couple of buddies for a little surf fishing... Ton's of small sand crabs everywhere, so doubling or tripling them up was the bait of choice...
Also tons of small BSP for the taking... We all got all we needed of them but were hoping for corbina or croakers.. One buddy got 3, and I got one.... Nothing big but one of his went 16" with all of the others smaller... He also got a decent YFC but mine was a little smaller, again... So a fun morning, with lottsa fish, even though we didn't get into anything with size... I'll post pics of the 2 largest corbs and one of my buddy with a YFC, 'cause I can. ;)... The 2 corbs weren't much different in length, but the one was much more robust than the other...

Sounds like a fun session. That 16" one hasn't missed too many meals !

Nice session! I'm still trying to figure out where the YFC and beans are consistently holding. I keep getting into almost all perch, which isn't the norm for me at this time of year.

@cajunjacket, I can relate. Lot of perch but beans & yfc's been MIA for me as well. But it's still early, you'll get 'em !

Very nice, Butch. The first corbina's belly is fat! Cool that you still fish with Kiyo :)

Yea, we’ve been fishing together for years… I also got an old high school buddy in to this crazy game, and he fishes with us too… Not to mention a couple of old SCSF guys we bump in to..
