Re: DIY Rod Tube holder advice needed

I have a Humminbird Fishin Buddy but it isn't made anymore. Haven't yet seen anything I think would be better either.

The fish finder is mostly used for finding drop offs, big rocks, underwater structure, points, creek channels, whether the bottom is smooth, rocky or weeds, etc. Not really used ...

Cumberland tubes on sale from mfr...

Word on the street is that Classic Accessories is getting out of the float tube / pontoon business. It would appear so...with Cumberlands marked down to 157.95...plus 40 bucks shipping.

They are a very good float tube, but replacement bladders have been nonexistent for a while now. \

I really ...

Re: Anybody ever use this Frog Togg neoprene boot?

I've had these for about 3 years and they have held up very well and are really comfortable. I hike in them a lot when up in the Sierras and or down the shoreline with the tube on my shoulders;

Re: Anybody ever use this Frog Togg neoprene boot?

Dude, I just bought some dive booties for $40 but these are way better. Thanks for the tip, Rob!

How do they fit, size wise? I'm a 9ish and have to switch between 9 and 10 depending on the brand. Do they run big or small?

They seem pretty roomy. The 9s will probably do you just fine. And free ...

Need fishing rod repair? OR good used equipment?

Do you have ocean rods needing a guide or two, or want something to start with... and not buy junk or spend big bucks for Calstar, Seeker, or No\rth Fork, Rainshadow, Lamiglas or other expensive equipment? I have many refurbished rods and I do repairs on most fishing rods. give me a holler if ya ...

Re: Inline spinner advice....

I ordered up some parts and the popular siwash hook has an overly long shank, I think. This is a #6, gonna get some #8s and try again. I am also gonna make some with #4 mosquito hooks....about the same size bend, but shorter shank than the siwash in the pic.

Presenting the Patient Zero spinner ...

Re: New to Fishing/San Diego

This is open for anybody that wants to go. I'll be making a little more frequent trips inshore and offshore now that the water is warming up and the fish finish spawning.

Currently heading out targeting Yellowtail and Tuna in MX waters 20-30 miles. As they get closer the runs will hopefully be what ...

IVOS last week

Hit the Valley for an even 43 last week on Friday. Mostly cats and carp with a bass or two thrown in. No idea if I can post pix or a link, some footage is up on my YouTube channel. Put the carp in my garden after peeling some meat for flathead bait.

Directly north from pigs. This whole shoreline is good.there are a few secondary points that go way out in the water after the rock bluff. Fish like this area for ambush.

If you launch from the boat dock area, these areas are really good. I mean honestly, every part of the shore is catchable.where that island is, is a great spot especially the long point above it which is all under water

Southern Baja Estero Flyfishing trip

Just got back from my annual kayak fly fishing trip to Estero Coyote. As usual it was an awesome trip, but this year was colder and a bit windier than past trips. The colder water changed the fishing a bit - we had fewer Corvina and Corbina and more halibut and bonefish - the same toad spotties ...
