Re: Pro Bass Angler Forfeits $100K in Winnings When It’s Discovered He Didn’t Have a Fishing License
Polygraph is necessary when there are 100’s of thousands of $ involved and you have mike long’s out there as well as those walleye guys. Those guys failed a previous polygraph before they got busted stuffing lead weights and filets in those walleye. Plus random questions like a license I believe is ...

Re: Pro Bass Angler Forfeits $100K in Winnings When It’s Discovered He Didn’t Have a Fishing License
True, not everyone but they are out there.
I imagine the license was on honest mistake. Most out of state non resident licenses are half the cost of our resident license in ca.
I’ve heard accounts of guys gaffing marlin onto the swimstep to measure them and then through them back in the water ...

Re: The Far One 4/27
I think they just rely on the severe leak in the dam to drain haha. There is a whole lot of new water out there. Almost double in acreage from where it’s beenMcfish wrote: Sun Apr 30, 2023 3:11 pm Reminds me of the old days out there when there was alot more water! Miss those days! Hopefully they won't drain it all down stream!

Re: Professional spinning reel maintenance?
Those washers are just shims so if it’s “Geary” remove one from one side and add it to the other to increase the tooth to tooth clearance. It’s also possible if you have too much clearance, it could make it “Geary” also. Not sure on any shops for the reel. Shimano parts especially in older reels are ...

Re: Barrett opener
If the water stays up, deep up in hauser canyon can get insane when it’s hot. You gotta push your boat over a sand bar usually then you get into the creek.

Re: May 9- Lake Miramar
Sounds like it might not take 30min with your report.
You could always cast it, then sit on your rod but and dead stick it. Ive caught two at Murray doing that while throwing a glide bait in my hobie.

Re: Tip of the day
Not sure of the splash and spook theory. I imagine it varies by bodies of water. I’ve caught many, many bass that instantly hit a lure as it hits the water. Especially bigger swimbaits and by boulders and trees on the shore.

Re: OK - Who wants to fly fish Barrett next Friday??
Shorter window of fishing, didn’t get to explore too far on the tubes. Heard a guy killed it back in hauser. Wife and I made our way around the point going into pine by the old barge. Had good success on the Alabama rig and dingers deep in the flooded brush. It was slow until the breeze picked up ...

Re: OK - Who wants to fly fish Barrett next Friday??
Yeah, fish were really tight. On the shallow points, I observed bass stocking blue gill and baby bass. Observed some deeper bed fish. Water is pretty clear in the main lake. There are definitely wolf packs in open water crushing Shad. My wife got a few casting out deep on drop shot in the wolf packs ...
