Bummer about that bait. It's been working great for you. Do you have a lure hound or whatever that lure retriever is called? It's saved me a few favorites when they got stuck at Hodges. BTW, I think that lake has the worst stickups for crankbaits.

Lure retrievers are definitely a great investment.

It has paid for itself. Actually on the first lure retrieved since crankbaits have gotten so expensive.

This one. You will love the tighter spiral that that line goes through. It gives you more control and keeps the chains closer to the hooks.

I have the BPS one, I tig welled some bigger hoops on it when I was religiously throwing big swim baits. It has definitely saved me well over $2000. The hound dog is almost the same. I welded bigger chain with big j hooks and attached it to Tuna cord to it. I’ve had to go to the bank to get leverage ...

Glad “they” did not melt… because it would be a long painful walk back to your truck with your float tube. Yeah, the water is really going down pretty quick and thank goodness you have a tube so you can still get out there and continue to catch bass.

I ordered a Zoo Pup bait along with with the this crazy looking thing called a Bone Doctor. I plan on trying the latter as a finesse jig trailer. I'll let you all know how they work out for me.

Nice Job! I always think a longer worm is easier for a bass to see...especially the bass that are a little fatter and not as intimidated by the size of the worm.
