Nice job out there Dannicus !
You sure pulled in a nice variety of fish today and that "cool" little crank bait you shared with us on a recent post is pretty amazing!
That little thing is worth its weight in gold the way the fish are attacking it. I bet you had a blast out there getting some ...

Minnesota Madness 2024
Back here at Pelican Lake in northern Minnesota with my buddy Scott for our annual angling extravaganza. The first day started out cold and windy but the afternoon was nice along with the fishing. We got about 45 largemouths and smallmouths between us with most of them nice three pound chunks ...

Re: Murray and Hodges
Way to go on the BFS pursuit of largemouth bass! Back in the day I always wanted a bait caster that would allow me to throw 4 and 6 lb. test, without the line getting in gap between the spool and frame of the reel. Nice to see they figured that out. Going to have to look into it and maybe ditch the ...

6/11-Murray setback/still fished
Rigged up a number of rods with baits and got my boat ready for a morning adventure to Murray. Packed my lunch and drinks and I
was on my way. I was daydreaming hoping for some top water action and then suddenly reality hit. OMG!... I totally spaced and
forgot today is the second Tuesday of the ...

Re: 6/11-Murray setback/still fished
Unfortunately, the lake closures will only get worse! The Mayor and City Council have discovered that they can screw the fisherman and save the money for their pet projects..the homeless and the illegal aliens.

Re: 6/11-Murray setback/still fished
Fish was really healthy for its size and had a fat belly…… anyway not sure about the weight. To be safe I’ll guess a little over three. Highlight was not getting skunked after a bad start to the day.Mcfish wrote: Tue Jun 11, 2024 5:57 pm That's a pretty fish...did you get a weight on her? Let me guess..3.5....??

Re: 6/11-Murray setback/still fished
I literally made the same mistake brother, but pivoted and headed to El Cap. Nice fatty you caught there!
I made this mistake shortly after the city decided to close Murray the second Tuesday of the month. I never made
the mistake since because I always knew to not go to Murray that day. I ...

Re: Otay 6/9
You did good Man. Those Crappie remind me of Crappie fishing in AZ. Despite the common belief that Crappie only hit minnows, your pictures prove that Crappie will hit almost anything including crankbaits, Jerkbaits, spinner baits, and senkos. Your success inspires me to fish for those Crappies again ...
