As a trucker I travel to Utah every week. I almost always have a Bass rod with me but have always wanted to try some trout fishing in the various streams/ rivers I pass by every week. This is my report.

2 weeks back, a friend and I spent some time fishing around the Lone Pine area. The gentleman at the tackle shop told us that it would be tough ..as they had not received a stock in over a month. We started at the Tuttle creek campground and found some trout in the creek. Super spooky in the gin ...

Those are some beautiful fish though! Colorado and Utah are my old stomping grounds!

Went fishing at hodges today lost 2 good catfish was about to leave but glad i didnt got this 70 lb/ 50" blue cat released it safely back in

It's been a while since I've posted an actual fish report of my own so I thought I would finally share one.

Went to Otay last Sat. Got there at 6:15am.

Cold in the morning (46 degrees) but Had a very nice sunrise.

Hey all I hope that the new year is treating you well so far. I headed out on the big bay for the first time this year with a few goals in mind.
1. Catch Fish
2. Use old gear
3. Catch fish on a new lure
4. Catch a fish ...

Only got seven spotties, but a nice day on the water.
Three of the bass were decent sized, 13 to 14 inches.

Not only did I have the one pull the fish out of my hand, but saw one rob a little kid of his trout at Lake Poway this week as he was pulling it out of the water. Not sure what's up ...

Only took 5 years but i finally landed a bonefish- kinda
Day1- Fished with Chris, the current was flowing and the spotties were biting for me , everything biting for him
Me: Loads of spotties, 1 missed bonefish at the board
Chris: Spotties, corvina, halbut, bones

Thanks for the post! I was going to write my own but I will just add to this one. That was an epic day on the water and not even half of the fish we caught made my video. I can't wait to get out there again soon. Cheers!

Decided on a rare trip to the salt. Not my usual because I have so much tied up in my fresh water gear and the salt doesn't exactly play well with them. Still i figured a sh!t ton of thorough rinsing should take care of it for one trip.

I put in at J street marina and fished the grass and dropoff ...

Super fun! 10ft on avg.

Personally Dfishin I think you will be a quick convert to the Big Bay. I always do better there.
