Great job out there Dave!
Looks like you had a fun time and always a little better having a motor on
any floating device. Saves your energy for fighting fish. Thanks for sharing.
Tight lines always.
Finally got the ok to go back out in the sun as long as I had sun coverage and sunscreen. Followed Drs orders and headed out to San V today with sunscreen, a sun gaiter and hat.
Lake is super low and 20+ foot visibility. Decided to fish areas that were out of my usual rotation. Started the day ...
Had a pretty good day at Murray finally. I got tired of 4-5 fish days, so I decided to go back to the BFS basics that I know work day in and day out. Final count was 18 all in the 1-2 pound range (as Vinny would call them, clones), so definitely a quantity over quality day. Still they were all ...

Great seeing you at the ramp. I ended up landing 9 and losing a bunch more including one giant that straightened the hook on my jig. And yes it was a bass not a cat. I lost it on the jump. Video coming soon.
I got to Otay early and was ready to fish as soon as it opened. As I pushed my float tube down the launch ramp, and into the water my feet slipped on the greasy algae, and I fell over backwards landing on my back and elbow. A guy named Joe saw me fall and kindly came over to help me up.
All is well folks, just some strained ligaments, and bruised cartilage. Getting some range of motion back in my neck, but it's still a bit painful to raise, and bend my arm. Pretty sure I'll be back at it this week.
Another epic morning at O'Neill...one on the plopper that was soooo fat I almost couldn't believe it. 20251015_063811.jpg What did you eat? 20251015_063814.jpg And then one after another on the spook (Halloween is coming you know), here are some examples... 20251015_071237.jpg 20251015 ...
Haven't posted anything since my 7.25lb bass few weeks ago at Murray(Didn't want to bore you guys as just landing mostly dinks anyway), but here is just a quick post from the SD River. Got just 3 bites this morning on a quick session at the river and landed 2 bass. Not big by any means but still ...

Wasn't going to post anything as it was pretty darn slow this morning, but Mcfish asked me if the bass were still jumping? The answer is NO, as I did not see a single fish jump. Worked the usual baits and was only able to pick up 5 small bass on plastic worms. The highlight on the day was chatting ...
Really nice day at The Cap. Caught perhaps a half dozen clones in the 2 pound range. Also a couple of three pounders. I thought I got pics of both of the threes, but evidently only got one. My old eyes aren't what they used to be it seems.
I also met Ron AKA Bonecrusher and had a real nice chat ...
I have not posted in a bit, but have been fishing...here is a collection from various spots in reverse time order...

I did make it out on the last weekend at Hodges for the season. I was surprised to see a good number of people at the gate at opening. I had heard that it was slow lately but had to get out one more time. I got my first bite within 5 minutes of fishing on a ...
So hooked this girl on the far side of the small opening and the fight was on...she even jumped a couple times and then...she got tangled in a patch of tulles and was completely stuck. What to do? Tried all ...
Had a couple nice days lately at El Cap. Air in the early morning is cool/cold, but the water temp is still upper 60s F. Poked around along the shore and picked up a few nice fish with the usual suspects for me, a popper, a floating Rapala and a little swim jig I have been playing with. Wind hasn't ...
