Murray DD 10/1
Anytime you have a 15 fish day it's a good day right? Especially when over half of them look like this behemoth!
Wait....could this be construed as a clickbait title?
Actually numbers wise Murray has been pretty good the last couple of days, but it's all been dinks and clones for me. Saw some big ...

Re: 10/1 Otay
I've had Osprey fly off with my fish there as well. Took it right up to a tree and I had to fight to get my Sammy back from him. It was pretty comical to onlookers me fighting a fish and a bird in a tree.
Awesome job Dave

Lake O'Neill learning
I think I figured it out...tons of bites, 5+ top water blowups, (even 2 times they smashed my worm on the way in). More than 10 fish in under 4 hours...all very healthy and the biggest was about 4 lbs. Super fun morning!

SD River Recent Reality
I must admit I was pretty blessed just the last few months at the SD River. Besides some clones, I have picked up a number of 4's, a 5.50lb, a 6.25lb and one bass just a few ounces under 7lbs. Lately, reality has set in and it has been tougher as I have picked up mostly small bass and a few other ...

El Cap 10/7
I didn't get on the water till mid-morning and stayed out about 3 hours. Only managed 4 small fish all on topwater. The wind was blowing, and I was walking a Gunfish through the choppy water in bright sunshine. Not ideal topwater conditions, but I couldn't get them to hit anything else I threw.
But ...

Re: 10/6 El Cap
I tried to make it to the DMV this morning to work on registering my pontoon. Somehow today was the morning they open an hour late, so it’ll wait for another day. I forgot that this step will be the biggest challenge to get my rig ready. Adding the motor mount and rigging up my old pontoon will be ...

10/8 Murray...oh yeah!
Hit Murray with my buddy Joe this morning. The surface was basically dead as did not see any busters so it was soon worm time. Using a variety of worms, creature baits, flukes. etc., we picked up some clones here as there as it was a little later morning bite. Missed a few bites comes along with the ...

Trinity Lake
Took a 2,500 mile road trip pulling the trailer to the Castcade Mountains and everywhere in-between. Had a chance to Bass fish Trinity Lake and Clear Lake. We pumped up the Sea Eagle and got out for a few hours.
My Son and I had 3.5 hours of clone fishing on Smallies and Spots.

Re: 10/6 El Cap
It’s funny to hear guys say they were “fishing blind” when they don’t have the electronics they are used to having. Just go back to the younger years when we were fishing from shore, or from a rental boat with nothing but your gut to guide you. Those are the best memories I have. Figuring it out on ...
